How far in advance should I book?
We recommend 4–8 weeks for peak season (summer and fall hunting). Holiday periods like Thanksgiving and New Year's often book months in advance. Last-minute requests are always welcome if we have availability.
Are pets allowed?
The Marsh House is pet friendly. Please inquire about the other properties — policies may vary. A pet fee may apply. Always let us know if you're bringing furry companions.
What's included in the rental?
All properties include fully equipped kitchens, linens and towels, WiFi, and parking. The Marsh House includes kayak access and a private dock. The Hunting Lodge includes fire pit access on 50 acres. Specific amenities are listed per property.
Do I need a hunting or fishing license?
Yes. South Carolina requires separate licenses for hunting and fishing. Licenses are available online at the SC Department of Natural Resources website (scdnr.sc.gov). We're happy to point you toward local guides who can assist.
What's the check-in / check-out time?
Standard check-in is 3:00 PM and check-out is 11:00 AM. Early check-in and late check-out may be available upon request depending on the booking schedule — just ask.
Is there a minimum stay?
Most properties have a 2-night minimum. During peak season and holidays, a 3–5 night minimum may apply. Weekly rates are available and offer the best value. Contact us for specific dates.
What is the cancellation policy?
Full refund if cancelled 14+ days before check-in. 50% refund within 14 days. We strongly recommend travel insurance for hunting/fishing trips that depend on weather and conditions.
Are the properties near restaurants and stores?
Walterboro (15–20 min) has grocery stores, hardware stores, and local restaurants. We recommend stocking up on arrival. The remoteness is part of the charm — you're here for the nature, not the strip malls.
